How To Make Your Personal Solar Panels for Your Home - By: Jenna Jones

Conversion of the sun's solar energy into electricity can be easily achieved with solar panels. This may sound high tech but truth is, it is quite easy to build your own solar panels for your home.

Solar panels for your home can be build by a company and charge thousands of dollars to install. And then again, there are those which can be built easily by any homeowner who has the basic carpentry skills and the dedication to drop the energy costs.
Solar panels for your home has lots of uses like reducing electric costs up to 50%, as well as generating power to heat interiors, heat water for indoor pools, and generate electricity. After setting up, you will no longer pay for your electricity expenses but the company will pay you otherwise. Yes, this is a decent means to reduce electric company pollutions and help Mother Nature from being shattered.
Building your own solar panels for your home can be accomplished by this quick measures:

1. The list of materials are as the following: half square feet per copper flashing sheets (around $5 per sq ft), 2 liter clear plaster water container, 2 tablespoon salt, 2 alligator clip leads, sand paper or wire brush attached to electric drill, electric stove, micro-ammeter, tap water and metal sheers for cutting the copper sheets.
2. Slice the copper sheet by means of the metal sheers. To prevent your hands from being injured and sweats not to get into the sheets resulting to corrosions, use gloves. Slice the sheet at more or less few millimeters more than the size of the electric stove burner.

3. Get rid of any sulphide and/or corrosion from the copper flashing sheet by brushing them off with the wire brush or sandpaper. Put the copper sheet on top of the electric stove burner and maximize the heat.

4. Monitor the turning of colors on the metal while it oxidizes from the heat of the burner. Upon observation, when the color turns dark, the coating of the black cupric oxide developed. Leave the copper sheet on the burning heat to about an hour more to have a thicker coating. After whirling off the stove, keep the sheet on top of the burner to cool off.

5. As the copper sheets cool down, you can see the thick black coating peeling out. After it entirely cooled down, flush the black coat on the copper sheet by means of running water but never try to flex or scrub. Use the pads of your hands to avoid destroying the metal.

6. Cut the necks off the 2 liter plastic bottles to leave a wide opening. Slice one more copper sheet with precisely the matching size with the previous one. Compellingly get the sheets into the container. In no way let the metal sheets touch.

7. Attach an alligator clip one on each sheet. Attach the new sheet onto the positive terminal of the micro-ammeter and the heated sheet to the negative station.

8. Heat the tap water and liquefy the salt. Pour the salt mixture, make sure that there are still spaces left on top of the water. View the ammeter charge goes up as it is placed under the sunlight. Congratulations, you had just build your own solar panel for your home.
