The findings of the survey show that employees’ overall expectations and demands of their employers are declining, while employee job satisfaction is on the rise. According to the company, this is directly linked to the state of the economy and uncertainty of the country’s economic well-being, because it seems highly likely that employees are appreciating their current jobs more and are willing to work harder to stay in good standing and thus shifting control back to employers. Findings also reveal limited cross-generational interactions and limited knowledge sharing in the workplace and this particularly holds for the relationship between the oldest and youngest generations of workers. In addition, findings indicate large gaps in employees’ perceptions of the ideal employer versus their current employer.
