The health of your brain directly reflects how strong your memory is. So here are 3 simple things that will help you improve your memory and keep it going strong well into your old age.

Tip #1 – Get Plenty Of Exercise And Rest

Exercise isn't just good for your physical body, it is also good for your brain. Exercise increases the amount of oxygen that gets to your brain. It also helps to reduce memory loss. When you exercise your brain releases certain chemicals that help to protect your brain cells and keep them running strong. Rest is also a vital part of improving your memory. When you don't get enough rest your brain is slow and sluggish.

Studies show that key memory enhancement occurs when you are in those deep stages of sleep. So go to bed early so you can wake up strong and ready to go.

Tip #2 – Have A Good Laugh As Often As You Can

Not only is laughter good for the soul, it is also good for the brain and can help improve your memory. When you laugh you stimulate multiple areas of your brain. This helps you to learn more and be more creative. So go ahead, belt out a good laugh. Not only will others join you, but you will feel much better after doing it. If you don't have anything to laugh about go hang out with some family and friends. I am sure they can bring up some old memories that will have you busting a gut.

Tip #3 – Avoid Stress

Stress takes a toll on every part of your body. Especially the brain. If you let stress linger, it can destroy your brain cells and cause damage to the hippocampus. The hippocampus is the part of the brain responsible for creating new memories and remembering old ones. So stay away from stress. Its bad for you. If however you are feeling a little stressed, go outside and take a lite walk around the neighborhood. This will release those important chemicals I spoke about earlier and make you feel ten times better.
