Is it easy to get a flat stomach?

Well, if it was easy, we would all have one, wouldn't we? Actually it is easy and its possible. There are no secrets to life, just stuff you don't know yet. The key to developing a lean body and knowing how to get flat stomach is often based on the amount of effort put into achieving such a goal. This is where many people lose faith. Its a myth to think that learning how to get a lean stomach is something that only other people know to do. If I can do it, ANYONE can. I'm just an ordinary person that finally learned how to lose weight and body fat using the three tips below and not an ab belt, ab rocker, diet supplement, diet pill or piece of home exercise equipment in sight.

Tip 1

Look at what you are eating. Losing weight is not the way to get a flat stomach. Losing weight is not the same as losing body fat. Spot reduction does not work. It is scientifically impossible to lose weight on just one part of your body. Body fat can only be lost overall in the body and this is achieved through reducing your calorie intake and learning what to eat. Some foods have high calorific values but very low nutritional value. These foods are called "empty foods" and examples include alcohol and sugars.

Reduce or eliminate refined sugars and saturated fat from your diet. These are the worst possible foods to eat when you are trying to lose weight and get slim.

Tip 2

While it is impossible to spot reduce - save it for the laundry - this does not mean that you don't have to do any ab crunches. If you want to get a flat stomach, you will need a more structured approach to exercise and a well varied routine. Who does not want 6 pack abs? A combined approach of good diet and focused exercise and you are over halfway there. Just one more tip to go.

Tip 3

So, you need to eat properly, exercise correctly and the last secret is to add in some resistance training. This means exercising with weights, even if it means just carrying the groceries or parcels. Resistance training can actually speed up the body's metabolism. This will lead to a leaner body and you are one step closer to knowing how to get a flat stomach as it also helps reduce body fat.
