The bad thing about using credit cards is that the amount you get charged is not the amount that you would have to pay, but a certain percentage is added to it, which takes the total amount to a figure that is larger than what you were initially charged. However, if you fail to pay your dues, the interest rates would keep on increasing and the overall amount would be taken to new heights altogether. You must make sure that you avoid delaying the payments of your credit card, as this would affect your overall credit history in a very adverse manner. For those who have real bad credit histories and are wanting a complete credit clean up, they must know that the process is not so simple. In order to get a complete credit clean up, there are a series of different things that you must do.

First of all, if you have any outstanding dues in your account, you must clear them from somewhere, because if you are not able to pay those dues, you would not be able to clean up your credit history. The second thing that you must take care of is the fact that the credit score is calculated on things such as delays in payments etc. so you must not delay these as well. Once you have cleared all your pending payments, you should give in your credit card and close your account in that bank.

After that, you must make sure that you do not open an account in that bank or at least take another credit for a period of at least three years, after which your complete credit history would be obliterated and you would be granted a proper credit clean up. With this help, you can easily rebuild your credit score and your credit history would begin to look good again, but this time you must make sure that you do not repeat the mistakes of the past and pay up your dues as soon as they are billed.
