b) Since the increases in airport security and overseas travel fares, more families are choosing to stay within Britain for their annual holiday which has also caused prices to fall.

The reality is that there are far more affordable holidays out there than you would think. Many families will simply dismiss the idea of having a few days away without even checking on the latest prices! And this could be a very big mistake indeed. Last Minute Cancellations.
A lot of people will automatically think of overseas trips if you mention ‘last minute cancellations’, but it applies to plenty of British holidays as well. It isn’t only families who are going abroad that will have to cancel at the last minute!
If you have a look at a few different sites online, then you will be surprised at just how many cancelled holidays can be snapped up for a fraction of their original cost.
