How do I get my first Traffic?

I have been asked this question umpteen number of times. I want to tell you guys that there is no secret science or math that anybody knows about Traffic generation.

It’s already out there you may already know some of this stuff.

The number one thing I put is hustle. Hustle for crying out loud. It’s just about putting in all your efforts. I am going to show you something you can do.
Let’s assume you have got a product page then get as many links out there as possible. Watch your Google analytics I promise you Traffic will start to come. Will you be getting a million visitors tomorrow? “No” and I think, I figured it out when everyone’s asking me over and over again how to get traffic, I am going to tell you now “how you can start to get enough traffic right off the back so that you can see the results”. Remember building an empire is a compounding thing. It’s a snow ball.

You got to pack the small ball first and then its starts to roll beyond that. Believe it or not the more traffic you get the easier it is to get more traffic. You got to start somewhere. I started with somewhere like 100 visitors a day by doing this hustling and going through all these techniques. And I just gathered the traffic and then I built it to get bigger and bigger.

Article Marketing
Before starting promoting your product through article marketing, you need to understand what article marketing is all about, I know it’s boring and it has been talked about a million times. There is a very good reason it works and that is the exact reason I talk about it all the time. Do article marketing. Go to affsphere to know more about it. But the king of article marketing is ezinearticles. The way it works is you write a short piece of content. Put it into these directories there is a ton of them out there. And you allow the world to take your content and put it on their site, their blogs, their newsletters etc. Now why would you do that? Because it goes with your signature, your author box that again has information about you, your product, your offer and a link to your list building. After you have done one article, will you get a million visitors overnight? No you won`t. If you submit one or two articles a day you`ll get huge results do this right now.

Go on Yahoo and type in Anik Singal in the search box. When I started six years ago I checked this. Only seven results came up for me. The first few pages you will see.

Today are about my products. But if you dive deep in, like page 100 you’ll start to see all the articles that I had written years ago that have got syndicated all over the web to lots and lots of websites. And guess what goes with every article my name means my link is below it. Article Marketing is one of those types of Traffic Generation techniques that even if you wanted to stop it you couldn't. Forum traffic you can stop by just removing your signature file and all would be removed from every post you have ever. Blog commenting you can just stop leaving comments and it’ll kind of die down.

For article marketing nothing I can do. I will not be able to get in touch with the quarter million sites and ask them to remove my link. I would never want to do that but that shows you the strength of time that is necessary. It’s a discipline thing, it’s a hustle thing. So initially getting that traffic requires you to dig deep in and do the work. Make sure you are submitting one or two articles a day at least make sure you are doing it correctly. Social Media
Write now you have access to something that I didn’t have access to back then when I started. I mean it was there but not the way it is right now. Facebook and Twitter can get you a ton of traffic. It’s not the kind of traffic that buys right away but it gets your brand out its get your links out. Use it to build your list.
The ultimate example on Facebook is to put a fan page start funneling some of that traffic to face book to build your brand up, but on twitter I’ll give you the
simplest strategy and the simplest tip. Right now there are tools that can automate this process. I do not recommend you to use them because you’ll get banned.

There is a simple thing you can do with Twitter right now. Sign up using your name if you want that to be the brand or your website’s name or something to do with your niche. Just go through the registration process sign up. Daily spend 10 minutes simply following other people. So let’s say you are in the gardening space. What I would do is go to the keyword search in twitter and type in gardening. I would only spend 10 minutes following people. i.e other people that are talking about gardening. Just start to follow them so that you can see what they are saying and then you start to make a few tweets every day. Just takes a few minutes guys talk about gardening. Just put a gardening tip or something and every tip you put you can put a url link back to your list building or back to your sales page. What you’ll find is a particular percentage of the people who you follow will start to follow you back. That’s how you can actively build your twitter following. Does that work, yes, does that take time, yes. But we have agreed that for your first Traffic you need to hustle. Once this list is ready and you have done the ground work when you start to have a list when you start to have social following and you have got some money. And you get your first affiliate to promote. Then you can use the networking section to expand your relationships and get more affiliates. This stuff won’t be much pressurizing. It will begin getting automated that’s why I said a little traffic will go to bigger traffic. But initially let’s be realistic. You have to face hustle and have to put in the word as there is nothing that’s going to help you generate millions and millions of visitors overnight.
