What is Social Bookmarking? Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to share, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web resources. Once you have saved the bookmarks, you can start tagging.

Tagging refers to giving keywords to the bookmarks you save so that others would have an idea what the bookmarked website is all about. Tagging also helps in searches, so that the bookmarks you save will be included in the search results. For example, a website about the history of your university could be tagged with the name of your university and the year it was established. Tagging doesn¡¯t follow a specific set of guidelines- which is both a good thing and a bad thing.
