How Do I Burn Fat? - By: Sandy Sachs

I am fed up of being overweight. I hear advertisements all the time telling me about new products which can help me to get lean and trim. To get that perfect body. My butt is too big, my stomach pouches out and I just feel very lazy. Do I have to compromise with this weight gain as I age? Why bother with it. Maybe I should just enjoy life.

I know sometimes that is how we all feel. Loosing weight can surely be a big challenge and there are many proven ways to loose it, but you have to find the way that works for you. Your aim is to burn more calories and not starve yourself. You aim to get that perfect hour glass figure. To be very frank, perfect hour glass figures are very rare in this world. We need to be realistic. Maybe our body is not tuned to be an hour glass.

Love handles or the flabby underarms are fairly easy to lose, you may be able to get your belly a little flatter but it is virtually impossible to make it look like the washboard you see in the commercials.

A good start is go write down what you eat daily for about a week. Now don't leave out things you don't want others to see what you ate. Make this list your own personal diary. You are not vying with anyone else. It is good to have a diet/exercise partner but you don't have to share everything. Just having someone to talk to and work out with is fun and knowing both of you have a similar goal is nice.

After analyzing the list of foods you eat regularly, you may actually see some shortcomings. Along with what you eat, be sure to note the time you ate it. Then you will be able to undermine the importance for a daily nutritious snack at a fixed time every day. It could be that your breakfast or lunch is not sufficient to take you till the next meal. That's when candy and pop machines come more into focus and the change comes out of the pocket. Not a good thing. Keeping apples or grapes around for a mid break snack is a very good idea. Sometimes small cubes of cheese can help a lot too.

In order to stay alive and perform your daily chores, you need energy. To get energy you need food. You should therefore never starve yourself. When you work out, you are burning the foods and drinks you have consumed. If these extra calories are not burnt, they go to your hips, belly or where ever else you are having a problem with weight. If you starve yourself, your body will start eating itself. Maybe you think this is a good thing, but it doesn't really sound very good to me at all.

When you eat less, you don't always loose weight because your body can adjust it's metabolic rate to use less energy and keep the same amount of fat. Starving yourself over a very long period, will surely result in your losing weight. First you will loose the carbohydrates and glycogen. After that the fat under the skin will start melting away and then you will start losing the fat surrounding your organs. Next your muscles start loosing protein that breaks down into glucose so that your brain keeps working right. Other wise you may become unconscious. This is maybe wherefrom the first three letters of diet come from. You are killing your own body.

It would be a better idea to nourish your body taking food at proper timings along with a bit of exercise, instead of killing yourself. Do you know that walking burns a lot of calories? You don't have to work extremely hard or run a marathon to loose weight. Fat burning kicks in while doing a slow continuous pace or after 90 minutes. Walking is one of the best methods to burn fat and tone the muscles at the same time.

Its therefore the best time to keep a tab on what you are eating. You should therefore reduce your intake of carbohydrates, and exercise daily.

Taking your dog out for a daily walk can be a very good exercise and equally enjoyable. Plus a little more dependable of a partner than sometimes a friend or spouse may be. Did you ever see a dog turn down a walk.

Now let's get started on a new you.
