How Cloud PBX Came to Be - By: Jerold Wride

Before cloud pbx, the traditional pbx system was used to route any phone call that was made inside a business organization. The traditional pbx system, not cloud pbx, would only use the public telephone network, or PSTN, for an external phone call. Now, with internet growth and voip technology, cloud pbx functions can be HOSTED pbx which means that the pbx system was outsourced instead of being on the business campus and the pbx system is available on the "cloud," hence the term cloud pbx. Cloud pbx means that the pbx system or the private branch-exchange system would be handled and hosted by a data processor provider.

One benefit of choosing cloud pbx today is the cost cut in paying the cloud pbx provider a small monthly fee for their phone services rather than the business having to purchase the pbx system all up front for their business campus use. The use of cloud pbx can also unify a business with several business locations. All the business locations can use the same cloud pbx system that routes each phone call rather than a pbx system on each business campus, and the business being charged long-distance for every phone call placed to the other business location.

Cloud pbx is only one example of today's trend of outsourcing data processor requirements. The main reason for this trend, including cloud pbx usage, is the cost cut. Cloud pbx can also easily provide more pbx services if the business grows rather than the business having to purchase a whole upgraded pbx system. All the business has to do is upgrade their cloud pbx service and the equipment and reliability of the cloud pbx pbx services and pbx system is already known and taken care of.

Cloud pbx, including or excluding telephone voip service, can easily be implemented into any business data processor infrastructure. This means that cloud pbx is flexible and can save the business costs in also purchasing a new compatible system. The cloud pbx system can be implemented without the business buying more system services and software.

A business can choose to have control of their cloud pbx system with virtual cloud pbx. Virtual cloud pbx means that the business can change and update their cloud pbx system to meet their business call needs all from their business office.

If your business is using telephone voip service along with cloud pbx, your business will be using the internet for your phone call needs. This also means that cloud pbx combined with telephone voip service, means even the traveling salesman or the employee working from home or on the road can access the cloud pbx system and voip service. Your business capabilities all of a sudden grow exponentially with the possibility of missing less phone call(s), staying connected more as a business team by communicating more with less phone costs and easier more flexible phone services.

A cloud pbx service and system is much easier to manage and implement into your business than the regular pbx phone system. With GUI interfaces simplify usage of a cloud pbx system. So, you and your business employees don't have to know all the pbx code and/or hire a technician to make any simple changes to your cloud pbx system, with standard GUI buttons that cloud pbx software now comes with, cloud pbx is also rising in popularity because of the ease of managing cloud pbx from your business office.
