With so many cable TV and satellite TV options, today we thought we would look at yet another alternative for you to get your TV fix from. More and more people are watching live TV on the internet so we thought we would dig around and find out more about this option.

Watching TV on the internet isn't a new concept, but just recently it has increased dramatically in popularity due to advances in technology and available channels. In the past it was extremely difficult to find any of the major network channels and the quality was extremely poor.

These days you can watch any channel you want in high definition quality. I must admit that I'm not used to watching TV on my computer, but when I was looking into internet TV for this article I was highly impressed with what I found.

First, make sure that you get a wide selection of channels. Obviously you want the major networks (NBC, CNN, ESPN, HBO etc) but you should also get a wide variety of specialty channels as well. The best internet TV programs will literally give you access to over 1,000 channels.

Another feature that I came across is the ability to schedule and record your favorite programs. It works similar to a "Tivo" - you can record whatever show you want so that you can then watch it later when you want to. Not all the programs offer this so pay attention when you're shopping around. Another feature that should be available to you is the ability to hook up your computer to your TV set if you want to be able to watch it on a bigger screen.

You should also make sure that you don't have to pay any monthly fees. The best programs will only charge you a one-time fee for lifetime access to their services. You won't be billed any monthly charges which obviously makes it a great deal when compared to cable or satellite TV. Don't bother with the services that want to charge you a monthly fee since it will end up being much more expensive in the longrun! You can find better.

All in all, I was impressed with what I found. For about $40 you can get full access to all the best channels to watch on your computer. For those of you that have a laptop, you can take watch any show you want when you're on the go. If you're a TV buff, it's worth having a look!
