House: Medical Drama Veteran Joins House - By: Groshan Fabiola

Fans of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning medical drama series ER which was created by novelist Michael Crichton, will remember actress Michael Michelle for her role of Dr. Cleo Finch on the series from 1999 to 2002. This year, the 41-year-old actress is back to the world of small screen hospitals with a role in the Fox network’s own Emmy Award-winning hit medical drama show House. Michelle is set to appear alongside Emmy-nominated British actor Hugh Laurie, who portrays the titular antihero, Dr. Gregory House. She will play a medical officer for the CIA, who calls on House and his expertise to help treat a certain patient.

During their collaboration, House finds himself impressed with her demeanor and skills, and he eventually asks that she also come back to continue working with him at the Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. With her previous role of Dr. Finch on ER, this will be the second time that Michelle will step into fictional medical scrubs for the camera. She has worked on a number of other productions and series, among them Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and The Hunt for the BTK Killer. Michelle has also acted in New York Undercover and Homicide: Life on the Street.

The fourth season of House features a wealth of new cast members, mainly due to storyline developments in the previous season which ended up with House losing his entire team. Among the new additions to the Princeton Plainsboro staff lineup are television performers such as Peter Jacobson, Olivia Wilde, and Anne Dudek. The premiere episode of the fourth season will feature House working alone to try and diagnose a young woman named Megan who was involved in the collapse of a building, who can only communicate with him by blinking.
