If you are planning a trip to Adelaide, then it is advisable you rent a car to pick you up right from the airport. Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, and hence one of the busiest cities in the whole of Australia. So naturally if you planning to explore that region you would have to begin your journey from Adelaide. It is known as the City of Churches, and there are lots of gothic styled churches and some cathedrals in the region, which has stunning architecture. However, Adelaide has developed as a major point of attraction in the last fifty years or so, so you will find the amazing traces of a city being born and come to life and attain the present status that Adelaide has.
You have to visit the seaside and experience the calmness on the amazing beaches. Compared to the other beaches of Australia, here the beach is relatively calmer and the crowd more sober. After spending a lazy day under the sun, drive your car to the Glenelg Pier. Then head towards the Barossa Valley and you will come across lush vineyards. Some of the world's greatest and best wineries are located here and the wine is exported all over the world, to some of the world's largest hotel chains. Then drive around the market place and buy some of the local goods, handcrafted by the local people. Make it a point to visit the Adelaide Fringe Festival. It takes place in the end of February and people all over Australia come to enjoy in this gala event.
