Never had a love like this before. That in all likelihood pretty much sums up the relationship you had with your ex.

You are not new to the game or naive. You have been in relationships before. Some were okay others you would just as soon forget. Not this one. Your ex touched you in ways that you never thought possible. Good or bad every time you were with them you felt alive.

Now it's over. In all honesty you did not see this coming. Whatever problems the two of you had in your opinion were trivial. In fact as far as you are concerned they had been worked out. Unfortunately your ex disagreed and decided to end the relationship.

It's no surprise that you are having a rough time accepting this. You have always tried to respect their decision no matter what but in this case it is not working. You want your ex back and that's all there is to it.

There is always the possibility you can win them back but there are a couple of things you are going to have to accept:

1. Two Ways

It's all well and good that you want them back but for things to really work your ex must want to come back. Tricks and mind games may win you a temporary victory but when the dust settles you will essentially be back in the same position. All you can do is work on you, find out what steps you can take to get them back in your life and hope they feel the same.

Your ex was wonderful. So are you. Your ex was one of the most unique and special people that you have ever met. So are you. What tends to happen to a person when they are pining for their ex is that they devalue themselves. Your ex was all that and you were just lucky to have them.

Wrong. Your ex was all that because you were all that. Don't let anybody including yourself tell you otherwise. One of the keys to getting your ex back is believing in your self worth.
