If however there are no regular bowel movements to get rid of the waste in a timely manner, the person is in danger of many illnesses stemming from this bad stuff building up in the intestines and causing blockages that can be deadly.

As people begin to age, they find it necessary to add additional fiber to their diet such as supplements and this is both natural and an excellent way to get enough beneficial fiber to keep things moving along with no problems, not just when constipation comes calling and needs as extra push. Getting the proper amount of daily fiber will ensure that all systems are working as they should. There is more than one way to keep your colon healthy. Many people find that doing a annual or semi-annual cleanse or occasionally an enema or fasting does wonders for the colon. All of these things will help promote a healthy colon and ensure overall good health.
