Few miracles in the world are compared to that of a child's birth. The pregnancy alone is a miracle! Naturally, with a pregnancy, there's one thing that is very important: baby showers! And, though a host can do lots of things at and for baby showers, there's the one vital part of the baby shower that everyone knows about: baby shower games!

For starters, try the "Don't Say Baby!" game. It goes on through the duration of the party and is very inexpensive. All the host needs to get is enough yarn for several necklaces and some baby pins or other baby items can put on a string. Put the baby pin or other object of choice on the string and give each guest a necklace. When someone says "baby", the person to call it get's his or her pin/object. The guest at the end of the party with the most pins/objects on their necklace goes home with the prize.

Another game is the "Guess Mommy's Tummy Size" game. Each guest takes a ball of yarn and and pulls a section of string the size they think would fit perfectly around the middle of the Mommy-to-be's pregnant tummy. When everyone cuts the string, compare them to the actual tummy, and the woman who is most close gets a prize.

Another fun game, called "Name Baby Items", is rather simple but a lot of fun. Give each guest a notebook, pencil or pen, and have them all name all the baby items they can think of in five minutes. Sound easy? It is when everyone starts! But in the end it's a real challenge. The person with the most items named on their paper gets a prize.

Next is the fun and popular "Who Can Make The Baby" game. All that's needed is several baby magazines, some glue, scissors, and pieces of paper. The guests have to team up into teams of three, and each team gets three magazines. Then, the teams cut out different baby qualities from each magazine and glue them together on the paper to create a picture of what they think the baby will look like. When everyone is done, the Mommy-to-be picks the picture she thinks will be most accurate. The team whose picture she chooses wins a prize!

Next is the "Bottle Race" game--all that's needed are baby bottles full of liquid of choice. Have each player take a bottle and suck it like a baby--the one who drinks the most within the time limit wins the prize. This game should get everyone laughing!

"Guess the Baby Item" is a fun game for the Mother-to-be. A bag of baby items are supplied by the guests and placed in front of the blindfolded Mommy-to-be. She gets to take them out one by one and tell her guests what item she has in her hands--no peeking! This is a great game--especially if the guests choose some really crazy baby toys or items!
