Hands free music on your iOS device with Tango Remote App - By: Jamie Hanson

Apple's iOS devices are, among other things, great digital music players. The built-in iPad app permits users browse music, podcasts and audio books without difficulty. That's great until your music isn't on the device that's nearby. Or, if you want to have hands-free music from an iPod, iPhone or iPod touch that's linked to a stereo or set of powered speakers. That's where Tango Remote comes in, linking any two iOS devices on a wireless network, allowing one to be a music source and the other to be a remote control.

It's easy to set up, simple to apply and effective. Here's how to get started. First, set up Tango Remote on both gadgets by navigating to the App Store and probing for Tango Remote. Next, you must set one device as set as the "Source," which will play its on-board music, while the other is the remote. For example, you may hook up an iPad to your stereo system while keeping the pocket-sized iPhone with you. Or, use the iPad as a full-sized remote with an iPhone connected to the stereo. Since Tango Remote is wide spread, it looks great on all iOS devices.

Setup the source device
Now, that Tango Remote is installed, let's set up the source device. First, initiate Tango Remote. Click the button of music player when asked. Tango Remote will scrutinize the device for collected music, podcast and audio books in use by the iPod app. Note that this may take a few minutes, depending on the size of your music library. Finally, join it to a stereo or pair of powered speakers and you're ready to go.

Set up the remote device
Now, let's set up the device that will act as the remote. The first step is to make sure that both the source and the remote are on the same Wi-Fi network. Launch Tango Remote and tap the Remote Control button. It will begin looking for the source component and let you know once it has found it. Tap on the source device, e.g. Joe's iPhone From there you'll get all of the play-lists on the source device. Click anyone to resume music and control through the remote.

Of course, the remote does more than play, suspend, jump and skip. While the music is on you have the facility to view other tracks on the album. Also, browse by song, artist, album or genre. For any type of break tap the built-in function to resume.

Additional options
Finally, check out the additional settings by tapping the gear icon. Up pops a new menu with several options. You can turn on a shake to hop to the next song (probably wonderful with an iPhone or iPod touch), toggle playback controls on or off and allow an option to play your play-lists back-to-back. Moreover, you can access Facebook, make email to developer and friends.

Tango Remote is a effortless and effective way to enjoy the music on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. The device works as a digital radio station while making you feel like a DJ. Fixing takes only minutes and is a breeze. Because it works over Wi-Fi, you won't experience latency or lag. In short, it just works!

Check out Tango Remote and benefit from the "music in your pocket" in a complete new way.
