Applying epoxy flooring in the garage is quite easy. One has to follow simple steps to achieve it. The total process can be divided in to four main parts. The first part or the first step that one has to take is to etch the concrete. This helps in preparing the floor for epoxy coating. One should also clean the floor before applying the coating. Cleaning and etching makes the floor rougher which proves to be quite good for adhesion of the epoxy coating. The second step one has to take is too se that the floor is not exposed to moisture. The concrete should be sealed so that floor is free from the risk of moisture which would diminish the efficiency of the epoxy coating. Sealing also helps in bonding the floor with the epoxy coating. After this the epoxy coating can be applied to the floor. This can be done by using a brush, roller or even a spray. If the floor is damp then the bonding of the epoxy coating does not takes place. One should also not apply the epoxy if the temperature of the surface or the room is below 50F. it is best to wait until the conditions become favorable. It is no use to hurry.

The last and the final step is applying of the topcoat. Applying the topcoat to the epoxy floor is very necessary. One should never avoid applying of the top coat if best results of the epoxy coating are wanted. By applying it one can not only get a glossy and attractive finish but one can also make the floor easy to clean.
