Guitar Videos Replace Private Tuition For Learning The Guitar - By: Anna Stenning

If you are considering learning to play an instrument, are an absolute beginner, have no prior knowledge of anything remotely musical except for perhaps playing the triangle in a school performance, then perhaps video tuition is the way forward.

For example learning to play the guitar, there are now so many resources which offer guitar videos for the purpose of learning or improving your skills, these videos are often available to download and include hours of instruction.

There are pro's and con's of learning to play the guitar from the comfort of your own home, especially depending on your own self discipline. If you book a lesson with an instructor, an actual appointment which you have to go to, you will always make the effort to go, so as not to let the instructor down, however disciplining yourself to practice religiously is different entirely, unless you are overwhelmed with enthusiasm, which most of us would be at the start of learning.

The upside is that you can practice with guidance whenever you want, for however long you want, depending on the neighbours. Guitar videos provide tuition for all levels of player so whether you are a seasoned rock star or simply just trying your hand, this is the way to go.

This method of learning is also becoming the preferred choice as it costs considerably less than normal tuition, usually a one off payment for a guitar video download which provides between 10 to 20 hours of tuition, and as mentioned before learning to play at your own pace.

In recent times we have seen an increase in the popularity of Guitar Hero, many teenagers all seemingly showing an instant interest in learning the guitar, if only this were the case. Unfortunately Guitar hero is game which simulates playing the guitar but actually apart from the hand eye coordination required does not provide the essential skills.

Guitar Videos are suitable for all ages, it doesn't matter how young or old you are as long as you can pick up the guitar and follow instructions, in fact it is said that the younger you are when introduced to a musical instrument the easier it should be to pick it up. One of the only requirements is again practice.

If you think about how many hours children spend on games consoles and computers these days, it would be perfectly feasible that a child would be able to pick up how to play an instrument in no time especially if the desire and dedication were there.

There are several different types of guitar videos available, covering instruction to tutorials, learning specific tracks to improving general technique. It also doesn't matter what type of guitar you play whether acoustic or electric as both have plenty of step by step tutorials which cover basic chords to finger techniques, classic track lessons, to jazz chords.

Online guitar videos are the next best thing to having your guitar idol standing in the room with you, with many great names providing their teaching skills via online tutorials, by playing along with the videos and following simple instructions on various styles of playing, you'll be sure to play like a pro in next to no time.
