The importance of relating with animals have been well documented; from enhancements in the area of longevity to a general improvement in the well-being and a reduction in the rate of depression, individuals who spend time with animals are likely to experience tangible health benefits. While owning a pet is one of the most effective ways to enjoy these benefits, petting and playing with animals on a regular basis in grief counseling can also go a far inlong way towards building emotional serenity and calm.
