You'll not only decrease emissions released into the air but you will also save money on gas and also get some workout out of it.

3. While brushing your teeth, shut the faucet
As water is just a turn of the tap away, we use it thoughtlessly, and waste a lot in the process. Avoid wasting water the next time you are brushing your teeth, don't leave the water running. It's a considerable amount of water that is running out of the tap in the two minutes of recommended brushing time. Prepare for brushing and economize water by putting just enough to rinse your mouth with in a glass beforehand.

4. Take a quick shower instead of long baths
Take a quick shower instead of a bath, because it's been proven to be more efficient in terms of both water and power consumption. Nonetheless, this doesn't apply if your showers are 20 minutes long! Be sure that you shower quickly or else you will be wasting water!

5. Remember to turn the lights off
Empty rooms don't ordinarily need to have the lights turned on. If it is empty, a room may as well be dark. Doing this is not just beneficial to the environment, but also to your pocket book. If the sun's shining it should give adequate light inside for you not to have the lights turned on.

These helpful tips for living green are simple and inexpensive. In fact, they'll probably save you money. Go on, help our planet!
