When you are playing beach volleyball, those who do not want to participate can always play in the tidal pools that can be found when the tide is low. Cockington Estate County Walk

One interesting activity for the whole family is walking. You can try the Cockington Estate Country Walk in Torquay if you are staying at the holiday cottages. This is a total of 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) which originates from the Cockington Village parking area. This walk will attract a lot of nature lovers as you get the chance to see the many beautiful green fields, wooded coombes and the stunning Cockington village. This village goes all the way back 1000 years ago and was originally built by the Saxons. If you feel hungry during your walk, you will pass by the Drum Inn where you can enjoy some snacks or have a drink or two to relax. While you are taking this walk, you will get the chance to see many places that are more than a century old. So if you are staying at the Devon holiday cottages, this is one great activity that you must do.
