Got GD PI Calls from IIMs? Convert them through IIM Mentorship Programs - By: MBA

There is a wide gap between getting shortlisted and finally converting the call for IIMs. To support the shortlisted aspirants the students of various IIM have taken the initiative of The Mentorship Programs. The much appreciated Mentorship Program for GD PI call getters at IIM has started again this year with the declaration of the shortlisted candidates by the IIMs on the basis of their CAT 2010 scores.
The IIM Mentorship Program is the pioneer among its kind and purely driven by the students which guide about GD topic and GD Tips. Applicants to the MBA programs who have cleared the first round based on CAT can register themselves by providing their CAT Registration number and email ids previously filled in the application at the website of different IIMs.
Verified candidates will be assigned mentors from the currently studying batch at IIM who will then guide them regarding the GD PI process, GD Topic, GD Tips. The registered candidates can also post their queries and discuss with the current students on the forums on IIM Live. Call getters will also be mailed personally informing them of the start of the program. Given the response it got last time, it is hoped that this year The Program will be a bigger success.

The Personal Evaluation (PI) rounds of the IIM call getters will take place from end of February to March, 2011.
IIM Ahmedabad

The mentorship initiative taken by IIM Ahmedabad is called ‘Ask the students’. The concept of the initiative was by the students of IIM Ahmedabad which to Aspirant to GD Topic and GD Tips. The Mentorship program started last year and is being continued for this year too. The students have created the web portal http://www.askthestudents.org.
In this web portal the aspirants can put their queries and take part in the discussions going on in the web portal and get many of their questions answered from the top B-schools current students. “Students can now mail queries at ‘askthestudents@iimahd.ernet.in’ and the students shall respond to the frequently asked queries on this blog. The more personal queries will be replied to the candidates personally,” said Glen D’Silva, Media Secretary, IIM Ahmedabad to MBAUniverse.com which helps on GD Topic and GD Tips.
IIM Calcutta
IIM Calcutta conducts GD and PI as part of the selection process, post the CAT exam. The students have launched the mentorship program for the candidates who have been shortlisted by IIM Calcutta for the programs PGDM and PGDCM.
