Every year during summer time millions of friends and families go camping together. The warmth of the season allows people to sleep outdoors and experience nature in ways that cannot be felt in the big city. Camping is one of the activities that families and friends look forward to for the whole year. Before you go on your next camping trip there is one thing you need to make sure you remember: Bringing your dog.

Why to Bring Your Dog Camping

There are dozens of reasons to bring your dog camping with you. Not the least of which is that you get to enjoy a nice vacation away from home with your dog. • Exercise
Camping is excellent exercise for your pet. In addition to the exercise your dog gets, camping surrounds your pet with new sights and smells that will easily stimulate your dog's mind. A stimulated dog is a dog that is well behaved and calmer. When you bring your dog back to your home after a fun filled camping trip, for at least a day or two your dog will be the most well behaved it has ever been.
• Guard Animal
When you sleep in the outdoors it can be uncomfortable. You are used to the comfort and safety of your own home, and even though the outdoors is safe, it can feel as though you are in a scary environment. That is why it is great to have a dog around to keep you company. Your dog will bark to its heart's content at all the raccoons that try to get near your food, and you will have the comfort of knowing that if anything does happen, your dog will be there to notify you.
• Company
Of course, one of the best reasons to have a dog around is for the company. You can venture out on your own and know you are not alone. You can have a family member to play with while others are enjoying conversation. The company that you get from a dog is nothing to sneeze at, and is even more comforting when you are in the outdoors, in an environment that is as unfamiliar to you as it is to your pet.

There is no denying that you can benefit greatly from taking your dog with you on your next camping trip. The company alone is enjoyable for you, and the exercise and stimulation that your dog gets throughout the whole trip is great for your dog's health and wellness. You will be amazed at how good the outdoors is for your pet's overall behaviors.
