New Scientific era, it is very common to encounter a variety of term that includes “Footprint” in the web, news, magazines. The common terms, we encounter mostly are Carbon Footprint, Ecological Footprint, Footprint calculator & personal Footprint. These metrics allow us to calculate human pressure on the plant and its Ecosystems. Term carbon footprint is most commonly used, the terms ‘carbon emissions’, ’CO2 footprint’ and ‘CO2 emissions’ are also used to mean the same thing.
A carbon footprint has historically been defined as "the total set of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person." However, calculating a carbon footprint which conforms to this definition is often impracticable due to the large amount of data required, which is often time consuming to obtain. A more practicable definition has been suggested, which is gaining acceptance within the field. (Wikipedia.org)

The term of Ecological Footprint has emerged as the world’s premier measure of humanity’s demand on nature. It measures how much land and water area a human population requires to produce the resource it consumes and to absorb its carbon dioxide emissions, using prevailing technology. There are very useful online Footprint calculators over the internet on many web sites. (www.carbonfootprint.com)
Carbon footprint & Ecological Footprint are important because there is strong evidence that the greenhouse gases we produce are having an effect on the world’s climate. Climate change is a serious problem that affects every single country and person around the world.
Choose fair trade products to help improve the standard of living for disadvantaged communities. Recycle and use recycled products to help cut down on the volume of rubbish ending up in landfill sites.
Eco Friendly products are a great way of going green and reduce Global footprints. But how can we find Eco Friendly products? It is easy to look for products made from renewable resources, items that don't harm the environment, products that benefit the environment with their use and products that don't do harm do the environment when you are finished with them. Another way to live in a more environmentally friendly way is to buy from fair trade sources.
