Atrial fibrillation is a type of cardiac arrhythmia. A simpler definition of this condition would be abnormal heart rhythm wherein when your heartbeat is faster and irregular than the normal. Now, how to get ready for the medical exam?

Although the screening is not generally performed, the exam usually is comprised of routine pulse checks and ECG’s during routine. During the exam, do not wear a dress or one-piece clothing. No pantyhoses and watches. Avoid wearing lotions and oil.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening

Abdominal aortic aneurysm is a condition wherein the aorta swells or balloons and expands over its normal diameters by more than 50 percent. Once this blood-filled bulge expands and explodes, there will be internal bleeding in the walls of the vessels. Before the screening, be sure to fast for 4 hours. The food that you will eat prior to fasting is only a light meal, about half of your usual food intake.
