The Twilight Saga has managed to produce the town of Volterra in Tuscany very famous across the world. The scenes of the picture in Volterra was splashed across the web, in the Twilight sites to YouTube. This has not only become a tourist destination for Twihards, however it will now be considered a 'must' to go to when in Italy.

Pisa, a Tuscan province where Volterra is located, has been populated all the way back to the Neolithic era. Volterra is a name that originated from the Latin word 'Volterrae.' It has so many monuments and sites that must be seen by visitors. (However, for Twihards who wish to go to this enchanting place, don't expect to see the tower of the Volturri, which was just the imagination of Stephenie Myer when she wrote the book. There is no clock tower and the movie that showed its presence was actually built for the movie and never an actual site.)Visitors of Volterra feel as if they're brought back in time once they step into the town because of the presence of well preserved culture and monuments.

The ancient world feel of the town of Volterra is the primary reason why it is so famous around the world, and not just because it was a main focus in the books. The Roman presence is felt in this town especially because of 'Theatre of Vallebona" belonging to the Augustan Age (Augustus Caesar for those who are not familiar with the term). There are also plenty of monuments, spas and water tanks that was built by the Romans and continue to be actually working. Visitors who wish to explore and have a taste of history all agree that this town which has a lot to offer and won't ever disappoint. The accommodations are modern and includes modern hotels, inns and beautiful villas where visitors can stay and taste the cuisine. The hotels are wonders in themselves as well, they could be modern inside and offer the most modern of conveniences, but in matters of architecture, they had been all built within ancient architecture.
