Getting An Autograph From A Celebrity - By: Victor Epand

Celebrities can often provide some of the greatest memorabilia that can be fun and exciting for anyone to collect. Best of all, there is a constant stream of this memorabilia being created, for every time that a celebrity puts their autograph onto something, it becomes a collectors item. People can easily buy many of these collectible memorabilia items through specialty stores and the Internet, but it is often much more rewarding to collect these autographed celebrity photos on your own. This gives you the reward of the hunt and the satisfaction when you have successfully obtained that autograph.

If you are going to attempt to collect all of these autographed photos on your own, however, you should begin by following a few simple rules. The most important one is to always be polite. No one wants to talk to someone who is rude. If you spend your time shouting at the celebrity to get their attention, you are only going to annoy them and make them disinclined to give you the autograph that you want. If you are polite, however, you will have a much better chance at obtaining what you seek.

You should always also know exactly who you are seeking and be aware of things about this person. If you are trying to get autographs from a sports team, it is wise to always know the names of everyone on the team. Simply attempting to get everyone to sign can be a tacky move if you don't know everyone by name. Simply asking any of them to sign your memorabilia without being able to talk to them won't go over well. If you are attempting to get an autograph from a movie star, you should be well aware of exactly what that star's name is and the correct pronunciation, as well as how that person likes to be addressed. Addressing them in an inappropriate manner will only be rude and make that celebrity upset.

Another thing to be very aware of is the type of writing instrument that you bring for the celebrity to sign with. Be aware of the surface of the memorabilia that you are having be signed. If it is a glossy photo, be careful that the ink from the permanent pen will not smear and damage the photo. Ballpoint pens can be a good writing utensil but also will not look the best for it will lack the clean and crisp image of a permanent marker.

Finally, when seeking an autograph from a celebrity for your collection, you should always keep two things in line. Be early and be patient. Getting there early will give you one of the best positions where you are more likely to be seen. Once you arrive there, though, you must be patient. Moving around is only going to make you lose your spot and your chance to get the autographed celebrity photo that you want. All of these techniques will help you to gain that memorabilia item which you desperately want to complete your collection, you must only be sure to pay them good mind.
