The following collection of tips is here to help you learn basic self defense training to help you learn the skills and techniques you need to protect yourself and the ones you love from violence. I have outlined five simple tips however they are very essential and do work in the real world. I hope to better protect you with this information and I want you to take it seriously. I have dealt with violence in many different ways all through out my life so the following tactics are my suggestions on what I know to be the best basic martial arts training tips.

Learn basic self defense training number one - If you are a lot smaller or weaker then your opponent and your punches are not working, try using eye gouges to stop him cold in his tracks. I have learned this move from training in Jeetkunedo concepts and I can tell you that this works great. I have had people stop their attack on me immediately because of this move and it can cause alot of damage. You will cause his eyes to water up, you will make him panic and also you can permanently damage his vision for the rest of his life, making this technique very valuable when it comes to self defense scenarios.

Learn basic self defense training #2 - You must actively practice and do martial arts to retain the cordination and skills you need to use in a life or death battle. And not just any self defense training but actual stuff that works. You want to practice drills and get your responses timed and mastered on an unconscious level so they become your natural reaction. If you are able too, look into the different martial arts dojos in your town and city and enroll right away.

Learn basic self defense training number three - Speaking of self defense styles in the last tip, I would like to suggest some great traditional styles of martial arts that still work and are very valid in todays streets for combat. These martial arts include: Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiujutsu, Judo, Full Contact Karate, and the Phillipino martial arts as well. You can take your training to even higher levels by cross training and taking the best from each style you encounter. The legendary Bruce Lee was a huge believer in this fact so take full advantage of it if you have different martial arts schools in your area.

Learn basic self defense training number four - This may sound like a silly comment but it is deadly serious. You have to be physically healthy and stay active at all times. If you are smoking a pack of cigarettes a day and 50lbs over weight, how do you expect to defend against someone in much better condition? This is why eating healthy and training with weights and keeping your cardiovascular health is so important. In the middle of a life or death battle, the only thing that will give you an edge is physical fitness.

Those are my 4 simple and extremely basic self defense tips that can save your life in a life or death battle when it comes down to it. Take them seriously and continue exploring the world of martial arts and self defense and be aware and keep yourself safe!
