Game Play In The World Of Bukugan - By: Alan Selby

One of the crazes that seems to have kids fascinated is the world of Bakugan. The whole world of Bakugan began as do many of the popular toys as a cartoon series. Just like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and many others it quickly developed from there into figures of characters and monsters as well as games, video and online competition.

The creators of the toys have done a great job of following in synch with the television cartoon series. As the characters are created and develop on the show so they work their way into the physical board games and the online games. The development of the spheres that contain the monsters that are critical to the world of Bakugan play are indeed a work of engineering.

The spheres where the monsters dwell are activated by special cards. Throw or launch the sphere in the correct manner toward the game card and the creature that is within will be activated and emerge. Once emerged the monster will transform into battle mode. The battle mode can be determined before hand or enhanced once the entity is present.

The video and online games present other challenges like the launching of the spheres without being able to physically touch them. This will come about with enough practice. You get to create your own online presence. You have the choice of selecting your character and your attributes. Then there is the option of playing against your friends or you can play against the computer.

The rules of the online or video games revolve around collecting key cards that are only available if you defeat your opponents monster in battle. The battle can only take place if you are adept enough to maneuver your sphere to the metal gate card where your opponent is present. From here you can collect power up points and even change the rules of the game if you have the right attributes.

The games that the world of Bakugan presents do encompass a skill element to them. Youngsters from age five and up are presented with math calculations as the game progresses. The use of addition and subtraction skills if necessary in order to determine the winner. And ways to boost your points are presented if your math skills are up to the challenge.

There is also an element of strategy to the games. Kids soon discover that the placement of the Bakugan cards is of critical importance in the playing of the game.

Where you position your cards in the arena can make the difference in a tie or winning the game.
