We all remember being a child and also remember how important our bedrooms were to us. The rest of the house is of course our home, but it is dominated by the adults in the house and their needs, wants and tastes. Our bedroom was the one place we could have our colour choices, within reason, and all our toys. After all, we may have only been children but we still needed our own space.

When creating a bedroom for your children do not underestimate the importance of this room for them. It is a good idea to choose one colour on the walls and use pictures, bedding and curtains and lamp shades to create the child’s dream effect. This is an effective approach as we all know how quickly children grow up and change their minds, so once they are too old for Dora the Explorer or Ben 10 then the accessories can simply be removed and replaced with High School Musical, or whatever the next preferred passion is.

Bunk beds and children’s bedrooms obviously go hand in hand and are ideal for any family situation. The obvious and most practical use for bunk beds is when you have two siblings sharing a bedroom as they are a great use of space. However, bunk beds can also be used if you have one child to a room as they are ideal for sleepovers ensuring that your child’s best friend always has somewhere to sleep when they stay over.
