It carries unfavorable effects alongside with its desired benefits, being a biphosphonate drug. These days, Fosamax is facing many issues. But different Fosamax opinions are floating up. Here are some helpful tips for your Fosamax therapy, as complaints against it continue to increase.. The most important thing you need to know about Fosamax is that the drug may cause several serious side effects. These severe adverse effects include:

Stand or sit upright for at least 30 minutes after taking the drug. Furthermore, you may only take plain water with the said time frame. Do not take any food or medication even antacids, calcium and other vitamin supplements.

For missed doses, skip today’s schedule and take the drug the next morning but do not double the dose.

For patients prescribed to take Fosamax once a week, take the drug the next morning after remembering and return to your usual schedule.
