Foot pain is very common these days. Foot pain centers on the five bones of the foot in the middle area of the foot. Most often shoes we wear causes the pain in the foot when one wears shoes that do not fit well into the shoe. Some of these shoes could be pointed toe or high heel shoes. Another cause of foot pain is bunions hammer toes plantar warts caused by pressure on soles of the feet as well as the flat feet referred to as fallen arches.
There are many other things related to foot pain which may include cracked heel, heel pain or toe nail growing inward, ankle sprains and archway pain. Another is the plantar fascitis, thin feet. At other times what causes the pain in the foot is caused by callus in the side of the foot.
Foot pain can also come as a result of trauma, disease or both. Trauma is as a result of outside forces exerted directly on the body or putting the body under pressure of a particular posture. This deforms the body posture and pain to the foot. Other injuries like ligament sprains, bruises, fractures and muscle strains that occur are as a result of one or more stress to the foot area. This is a factor for foot pain when the ligaments are forced to overstretch and fibers tear thus causing the foot to pain.
Foot pain is suffered by all ages and classes of people. Foot pain can be treated and or even prevented by doing the following;
- if need be you lose weight if you have gained weight recently. Use crutches if there is need so you reduce the weight on the feet.
- You could soak your feet for it to soften the calluses.
- To reduce the pain and swelling rub ice on the foot. This should not exceed twenty minutes.
- Stop some activities until the pain goes away.
- Where there is pressure or frictions make sure you put on foot pads.
- Remove any spur or dense band of tissue by surgery.
- Make use of a shoe insert for shock absorption.
- To get rid of friction keep the feet dry, this way you avoid corns and calluses.
When you align arches you feet get support, straight and strengthen your back. Plus your posture is improved, then reduces leg, knee and back pain as well.
Doing some exercise also eases the pain. Doing some stretches on the feet a few times daily, putting on comfortable shoes with inserts if need be. You can even go for an insole that absorbs shock but not soft. Use a tennis ball while at home to rub round the foot on the floor. Because your feet do so much for you, you need to take good care for them preventing any pain and in pain curing the foot pain. What will it be like if you do not have you feet, so they diverse the very best.
