Baseball is a bat and ball game played between two teams having 9 players each. Both teams have to score runs and finally the team with the higher runs than their opponents wins the baseball game. Runs are scored by hitting a thrown ball by the bat and touching a series of four bases which are located at the corners of a ninety foot square, or diamonds. Players of one team score runs hitting against the pitcher of the opposing team which tries to stop them from scoring runs by getting hitters out.

Professional league baseball started in 1871 and carried along the next five years. In North America, professional major league baseball (MLB) teams are divided into two parts, one is National League (NL) and the other is American League (AL). There are three divisions in each league i.e. East, West & Central. World series are organized every year in which the major league champion is determined. This game is more exciting and very popular in the America continent and UK especially. Along with these two continents, baseball is the leading team game in Japan and Cuba.
