Flo TV the subscription based mobile tv helper is expanding its service with “new applications that integrate video with web-based capability” for distributing “live Internet TV and rich mobile media services to a range of new twists.” In English this means that they will incorporate pay per view, some interactivity and the possibility of DVR capabilities making mobile tv take off.

The tv signals sustaind by the mobile tv are transmitted by a network of high-powered broadcast transmitters operating at effective radiated powers as high as 50 kilowatts allowing for a wide coverage.


New service applications will include:
Addition of Interactive features enabling users to interact with both content advertising, allowing consumers to click for more information close to a show or click to buy an advertised product.Pay per view – giving viewers the ability to watch the FLO TV service without committing to a recurring monthly subscription. The new features will come available later this year. The mobile and smartphone tv market is hotting up as mobile tv becomes a thriving trend. Netflix and Blockbuster have all jumped on the mobile tv bandwagon. And with the iPad launch there will be plenty more mobile tv offerings coming.




According to another internet tv perspective, around 25% of progeny adul

ts are watching ever more tv on their computers, so says a new study by Retrevo a shopping/review company.
The study named the “Pulse Report” which looked at the viewing habits of more than 1000 people showed that 23% of young people (25 and under) view the majority of their television shows on the web. This compares to the oldies (25 and over) with a much lower 8% viewing most of their TV content via the internet.

Other findings from the report show that not surprisingly, men are much bigger online tv viewers than their female counterparts. 17% of the male respondents view all of their television online, whilst a littler 9% of females took the tv online option. An interesting question that was asked was – What would it take for you to watch all your tv online? 20% of respondents said that having more hd internet tv would do the trick, next (19%) came more premium content, such as HBO followed by (15%) more live sports content.

When it comes to cutting the cord, 15% of those surveyed said that they could move to online tv if prices for cable and satellite services go up.
