It only takes just a passing glance or roughly three seconds for someone to judge you when you meet for the first time. In this short frame of time, the other person can quickly form an opinion about you based on your body language, your appearance, your mannerism, and the way you dress.

Be aware of mumbling and focus on speaking clearly and confidently. Take a deep breath and relax yourself mentally to help deliver your self-introduction more assertively. Saying your name clearly, looking people in the eye and a firm handshake are simple actions that portray poise, self-confidence and integrity.

You will be surprised what your appearance can silently say about you. Dressing the part is important and plays a role to the message you are trying to converse. Looking professional will earn you more respect and can also boost your confidence.
