Many automotive companies are under the pressure to produce environmentally friendly cars. There are a number of options for purchasing an Eco-friendly car such as hybrid, fuel cell, electric and bio-ethanol. In addition, some buyers are confuse about which car is the best and environment safe. Many people are unaware that automotive companies have been researching green technology for a number of years. Furthermore, this article focus on the options for finding a car that is environmental friendly.

Hybrid cars are options for people looking for Eco-friendly cars. In addition, the hybrid car uses two energy sources. Most of the hybrid cars on the market use petrol combustion engines and electric motors. Batteries are used to power the electric motor when the vehicle is traveling at low speeds. The petrol engine gives the car more power when traveling at higher speeds. Hybrid cars don’t need to be plugged into an electric outlet or charged. As well as, the Toyota Prius is one of the popular models for a hybrid car. In short, hybrid cars produce less pollution and don’t release any carbon dioxide gasses.

Electric cars don’t require any type of gas in order for the car to run on the road. Many electric motors can achieve 90% energy conversion rate. In addition, electric cars should be combined with regenerative braking systems. The braking system can take moving energy and convert the energy back into stored energy. Also, this can help with the wear on the brake system and reduce the amount of energy used to travel to a destination. Electric cars are great options for environmentally friendly cars but depend on how the electricity is produce to power the car. Moreover, a wind turbine would be the most Eco-friendly way to generate electricity to charge the car.

Automotive companies like Chrysler, Volvo and Ford produce biofuel cars. In addition, vehicles can become more energy efficient with a mix of renewable fuels. Also, biofuel uses resources from foods to make mechanical energy for cars. Many experts are against the use of biofuel because it could cause the prices of foods to rise. It would be more cost effective if biofuel was made from new energy sources or waste products.

There a number of developments being made each year in the automotive field for energy efficient cars. In addition, there are some cars that are powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. Furthermore, automotive are working to develop more Eco-friendly cars for consumers.
