Find Out How This Easy Habit Can Set You Free - By: Daniel Herzner

It's human nature, we are impatient. Folks want great things for ourselves and we don't want to wait too long to get them. No doubt about it, ours is a microwave society – nobody likes to wait for anything.

When it takes too long for good things to things to show, we get frustrated.

For example, suppose you finished second in a tournament of some kind, are you the type of person to give up and not try again? Or, would you be OK with having fallen short and use the experience to achieve an even better finish in the future?

In life, you will be constantly confronted with having to make choices. You can choose to have a pessimistic viewpoint and make self-defeating choices or you'll decide to take an optimistic viewpoint and make empowering choices for yourself.

Which route you go is entirely up to you. Nobody can tell you to be a victim or a victor; you can decide that only for yourself. If it is your goal to discover how to succeed in life then choose to be a victor, choose to be optimistic – it goes hand in hand with being positive.

So why is it important to nurture an optimist’s point of view? And why now?

Being optimistic has been linked to positive mood and high morale; to academic, athletic, military, career oriented and political success; to social stature; to great health and even to longevity and being free of drama.

And look around, the rates of depression and pessimism seem to be at an all time high today. There is a lot of suffering in the world at this time but it just doesn't have to be that way. Yes, these are difficult and challenging times but making improvements in your life all starts from within. It all starts with you.

Here’s why it's crucial for you to be an optimist: Optimists expect the best. They expect the best and and it is almost always what they get. Optimism is a habit. Don't expect to get the best today and then have it magically show up tomorrow. You must practice optimism everyday even on those days when things all seems to be so difficult.

Here is something very important all optimists do: stay away from bad news. The self-defeating pessimist is influenced greatly by by things which happen outside themselves. They will, for example, watch the news, constantly feeding themselves all the bad stuff going on in the world. They will then say that their lousy lot in life is to be blamed on all the bad events taking place in the world.

The thing is optimists are faced with the same difficulties of this world. What differs is the way in which they deal with tough challenges. They see difficulties as only temporary happenings and defeat as a temporary setback.

you get back. Good things and good people are naturally attracted to the optimist. On the flip side, the pessimist will always be drawn to tough times and bad stuff.

I know there are times when it will seem awefully challenging to see your situation in a positive way. Sometimes life challenges us to a point where throwing in the towel seems to be the only choice which can be made. And, yes, sometimes that is the case. But, do not be the type to quit easily, give things your best before giving up.
