Feed Your Family for $60 per Month - By: Justin Lukasavige

It seems that the cost of fuel isn't the only thing skyrocketing in our economy today. The cost of groceries is an area that many people have found themselves struggling to pay.

If you have attended our coaching program, you already understand the importance of paying cash for expenses such as groceries. Not only will you know how much you spend each month on groceries, but you will also spend much less if you pay with cash.

A family of four should save over $100 each month by switching to cash to pay for groceries. The rule of thumb I use to determine how much to spend on groceries is about $150 per person per month. A recent study shows that as Americans, we will actually spend up to 18% less if we pay with cash.

So you are already spending cash for groceries. How in the world can you spend as little as $60 each month on groceries? Check out Angel Food Ministries.

Angel Food Ministries. is a non-profit ministry based in Monroe, Georgia. As a non-denominational ministry, the owners Joe and Linda Wingo seek to help lower the cost of groceries for not only those having a hard time buying them each month, but for everyone!

Angel Food Ministries is a nationwide program operating out of local churches in your neighborhood. I interviewed the Scott Coring on Past Due this Saturday morning who runs the host site in Cary, NC.

Scott emphasized that the program really is open to not only those that are hurting, but to everyone. The food is not left-over's or seconds, but good, restaurant quality food.

The more people that participate, the lower the cost of food becomes for everyone. If you feel bad about buying a box of groceries for just $30, take the amount you save monthly on your grocery bill and help out those that are in need.

There are no applications to fill out and you can buy as much as you want. Each box is worth about $70 and should feed a family of two for about two weeks. If Angel Food Ministries is available in your neighborhood, I highly encourage you to take advantage of it. Visit http://www.angelfoodministries.com for more information.
