We all have favorite places; places to eat, places to visit, places to relax, a favorite beach, a favorite place to stay. We also have favorite places on the internet, places of value, places we trust, places that do something for us.
As The Car Guy, I visit a multitude of car sites to gather information with which to make buying and selling decisions, write a book, stay abreast of the automotive market, and to just browse for general and specific information.
These sites must be current, valid, trustworthy, and above all correct in the information made available to the public. Simple, straightforward, accurate and timely are other keywords that influence my decision to use certain sites. I expect good results, and I look to those who supply them.
Here are 5 of my favorite places to go for information; these are only a sampling of the nearly fifty destinations that I connect with when doing business and research.
Here's a wealth of information for new and used vehicle shoppers, a MUST GO TO site. And-when you click on link to a manufacturer you will go directly to a page listing all of the vehicle manufacturers-and-when you click a manufacturers name-you will jump right to the manufacturers site-and-you can cruise happy, gathering all the information you need to put your selected vehicle together! Now that's as simple and smart and as helpful as anyone could be-jdpower.
Carfax does it all. Since its existence carfax has been an immediate and accurate source with which to gather vehicle information that could have a direct negative effect on the vehicle's value, and usage. I use carfax for all of my personal purchases, and should a red flag appear I will not purchase the vehicle. This is a must do when purchasing any vehicle. Title checks, condition reports, and complete vehicle history for just a few bucks and the click of a mouse button-WOW-could save you a lot of money and a major heartache. carfax-a tremendous value!
