The world is always unfair. While it is hard to earn a friend, it is relatively very easy to lose one. There is really no direct way to earn a friend. It is only by time and circumstance that we win someone over. I have always noticed that the harder it is to win friends, the easier it becomes to lose him or her. Well I have not lost a friend per se but my friend has lost his so called best friend.

First stop: Date your friends' boyfriend or girlfriend. Personally I have encountered this when someone I knew dated her best friends' boyfriend and they were caught. Not only was the friendship shattered but also the love affair. Because of guilt her so called best friend did not pursue further the relationship. It was like one plus one amounting to zero.

Second stop: Reveal his or her most precious secret. This is by far the fastest of all. Once the secret is out, and embarrassment ensues, there will be no doubt your friendship will go down the drain.

Third stop: Make fun of him or her for no reason at all. If you know your friend is a serious type then this could surely make him or her stay away from you for all eternity.

Fourth stop: Nothing beats deception. I have already known that trust is the most important aspect in every relationship. Once you deceive your friend, the trust that has been built for years of the relationship can be shattered right there and then.

Fifth stop: Cross the line beyond friendship. If you know your friend has no interest in you more than a friend then this is a good reason to have him or her running especially when you flirt too much that is enough to embarrass him or her. This situation is the most awkward of all situations. That is why crossing the line beyond what is only possible would make your friend get away from you.

There are probably a million fast ways to lose a friend. Fast in a sense that the friendship could be over in just a nick of time. Friendship just as well as any other relationship is like precious antique china. It is so vulnerable and so delicate that once broken can never be put back. Though the pieces can be picked up but it can never be made up the way it was before.

So if you are a type of person who values friendship too much, don't ever try to do the above. Not only will it cause you trouble but it will ruin the most precious treasure you got, your friend. Remember it is never easy to win friends, especially the friendship that can stand the test of time. Not everybody can find a friend who will stick with you through thick and thin. And certainly not everyone can have a friend who is willing to help you when you get stuck into the quick sand
