Fact Or Overtly Massage Sensationalised? - By: Whitney Montana

The art of massage has been practiced all over the world beginning in traditional civilizations of Rome, Greece, Japan, India, Egypt and Mesopotamia.

In modern times, massage methods have branched into numerous methods ; from Ayurvedic to acupuncture, from Balinese to deep tissue, and even offered to breast cancer patients in the form of medical massages, all in the search to lessen ailments ranging from stress, anxiety to physical pain.

It has proven to be an efficient tool, and results have shown that because of this 'promised' relief, many have frequented places which offer these services.

It is claimed that way too much of a great thing can be bad but what proportion of a good thing? And how bad can it get?

Not all massage therapists are certified or licensed and not all operators are legal. We have read of raids conducted across the country of supposed massage parlors which are in fact, thinly-disguised brothels at best. 'Massage therapists' in the shape of (regularly) younger women ; provide sex services in the ultimate goal of the achievement of a client's orgasm.

Unpalatable parlors teach their 'therapists' to exploit erotic and sensual techniques in erogenous areas of the body, in the hope of enticing customers to want and ask for more explicit services ; which as it turns out, eight out of 10 likely would do.

The rest they are saying, is history.

Let us look at this from the opposite angle, for the sake of debate of clients initiating sexual advances towards specialists. Is this heard of? Of course. Is this behavior rampant? Definitely. Is it often highlighted in the media? No.

It begs the following question ; whether legal or not, is this behaviour acceptable?

Views change. Massage parlors, both reputable and otherwise, offer services catered especially to a customer's desires. Ensconced in a personal area with no turmoil, this moderately intimate experience may, infrequently, rouse certain uncontrolled behaviour patterns, ending in sexual advances made. This is applicable to either the therapist or buyer, or in same common cases, both.

Sexual advances in the massage room is a subject not a great deal of debate, as it may be interpreted as lecherous, even condemned.

There are many documentaries which picture not sexual advances per se, but the practice of 'legal' harlotry, as demonstrated in 'Happy Endings', where Asian massage establishments in Rhode Island offer their customers massage cum sex services.

Right or wrong, moral or immoral, sexual advances, either offered or solicited, it actually depends on the individual's response when such a matter happens. If 2 consenting adults engage in an act involving sex, who is to blame? No one.

For those who harbor fear of this happening, stop your therapist if you feel uncomfortable. Insist on the door being opened throughout the session, or lodge a complaint.

Or as some might say, sit back, relax and enjoy.
