Most of all, however, a teacher will push you into practicing daily, which is the best way to improve any skill.

Once you feel comfortable with your talent you may want to start performing in public. Talent shows are a great place to start. You will get to experience performing for a crowd, and people will be able to see what a great skill you have.

You may even consider harnessing the internet to get your talent out there. You can upload your music to the internet and get the unbiased opinion of lots of people.

After performing for small crowds, if you're serious about pushing your talent, you may want to look into local clubs or businesses that are in need of a musician. They will often pay you for performing in their building, and you will get the experience of performing as an entertainer.

Anyway you can think of to develop and express your voice will be beneficial to you as an artist. Talent shows, local clubs, music teachers, these are all steps toward your musical future. Musical competitions are another option you may want to consider.

Often times music teachers will have information on these contests. If yours doesn't, you may also be able to find them online. Any step you can take will only increase your talent and give you the ability of expressing your voice.
