Exclusive Interview: Tim Urban 12th fired contestant on The Apprentice: LA - By: Groshan Fabiola

Tutoring company owner Tim “The Musician” Urban was the 12th contestant eliminated from the Los Angeles edition of the popular reality series, The Apprentice. Nevertheless, the Harvard-educated businessman from Los Angeles, California doesn’t seem too disappointed for being fired by billionaire host Donald Trump, and if you were in his shoes now, you would understand why.

As of this time, Urban is living up to his nickname and has closely worked with producer Glenn Ballard in recording his first music album. The album features Urban’s skills on the piano, and has not been used for songs, as the producer felt that stiff structure of songs and songwriting would prove limiting to Urban’s freeflowing and natural music. For those who are interested in purchasing his album, Urban suggested visiting iTunes or his personal website, timurban.com.

Since Urban’s true passion is music, it’s not hard to see why he is not at all discouraged by his dismissal from the show. In fact, he tried out for the reality series not because he desperately wanted to land a job with Trump, but because he, being such a big fan of the show, believed that the experience would be, well, fun.

Another thing that has brought a smile to his face is his current involvement with fellow Apprentice cast member, Nicole “The Dreamer” D’Ambrosio. The couple’s relationship bloomed in complete view of the millions of Americans who follow the show each week, but Urban admitted that the show, with all its editing powers, tended to overestimate what was really going on between him and D’Ambrosio. Nevertheless, Urban is happy about the outcome, and has said that he would not change anything if given the chance to go back.

Urban and D’Ambrosio have watched some of the episodes together, and so far, he has little problem with how they have been depicted on the show. As a competitor, Urban didn’t let his feelings for D’Ambrosio influence his performance, and vice versa. He also felt that his final boardroom meeting was edited fairly, and he’s grateful that he wasn’t made to look inept or defenseless.
