The Panda bear was first discovered over a century ago back in Western China, and since then, a lot of people, especially experts, have been bewildered by this fascinating creature.

The Ailuropod melanoleuca or commonly called Giant Panda can also be known as the black and white cat food which belongs to the mammalian group of the Ursidae family. Panda Bear Facts are the only species of bear that truly belongs to the Ursidae family and the only living representative of Ailuropoda class. Blood tests and other genetic study concluded that they are genetically close to the family of raccoon also thus the color of black and white.

Panda Species Of Bears only resides in controlled places in some areas of China, this is one of the symbol of World Wildlife Fund and is one of the protected species in the entire world.

As with other bear species, the panda Species Of Bears are enormous enough to be heavy since they could grow up to 190cm and will weigh up to 130 kg. They can successfully climb trees and hills. Although it is often believed that bamboos is the only food source of panda, it is usually untrue where in it zoologists found animal bones that is found in the digestive tract of dead panda bears. Panda bears usually eat small birds and animals. Though they are cuddly and cute to look at, they may be a dangerous creature when provoked.

Panda Species Of Bears like every bears love its lonely existence except when breeding and nurturing mothers. There are many people who find the panda’s markings so unique and strange which is why many theories are circulating it. One theory says that the black and white markings are created during winter to act as a camouflage.

Worldwide, the panda bear population has increased where it has risen to 1000's from the previous 200. Humans are the reason for the species’ close to extinction. Bear trading and bear poaching are still illegal acts and it is imperative to help save the number of pandas so future generations will have the privilege to appreciate such wonderful creature.
