Escape Baldness With Hair Systems For Women - By: Adolphpaul

Approximately 21 million women in the US alone suffer from hair loss problems. Sixty-five percent of all women experience noticeable hair fall by the time they turn 60. Whether it is Androgentic Alopecia, Alopecia Areata or hereditary factors, the hair loss figures keep increasing every year. Hair loss is difficult to counter on a permanent basis but can be treated with hair systems.

Types of Hair Systems

Hair systems are usually clipped onto the existing hair to achieve a thicker and more luxurious look. Hair loss can occur due to many reasons. Hormonal changes and genetic factors are the most common reasons. Hair fall can be just at the top of the head (similar to what most men experience) or can mean overall thinning. Hair systems for both men and women are the same, with a slight difference in the base design shape. Systems for women are either round or oval because women generally do not have pronounced recession from the forehead region.

Women essentially have three hair attachment options:

Clips: These fasten hair close to one’s scalp. Many opt for this method since it does not necessitate complete shaving of one’s head. Moreover, clips and tapes provide the option of removing the system whenever required.

Integration systems: This system allows the existing hair to be integrated with the hair system. This can include weaves (a short hair system) or wefts (long strips), both of which are glued to the scalp to resemble natural hair growth.

Additional Facts about Hair Systems

Usually, integration systems have small openings of different sizes. Most often, the opening is about a quarter of an inch. The different opening sizes are meant to accommodate the existing hair on the wearer’s head. There are systems that are designed with a combination of opening sizes, depending on the wearer’s hair loss pattern. For instance, if someone has lesser hair density on the top but thicker hair at the sides, two types of hair systems can be used:

* a solid top base with openings for the side and back hair

* a top base with small integration opening and larger ones for the sides and back

For those suffering from uniform hair loss, the three-quarter cap integration proves ideal. This kind of system is soft and fits just like a cap, leaving approximately an inch of the hairline uncovered. This cap is made of cabled threads which have hair secured on them. The remaining hair is drawn through the openings, thus allowing all the hair to be integrated.
