One of the conundrums in today’s time is the environmental problem. Whether it is any movie or show which you watch on your CableTV, environmental problems find their place in it. You may think why they are important and why governments of some countries are spending billions of dollars for them. The answer is because the condition at what rate we are destroying the environment, there will be no resources, trees and clean air for our future generation.

In every debate and discussion, whether it is the parliament or news channels, the concern for the environment protection is taking a high priority. One thing that most of us should realize is that this environmental problem is not an individual problem of people and countries, but is an international problem. Currently the environment is so much contaminated that an urgent measure is needed to avoid it.

Nowadays, there are a lot of talks about going green. From opting for alternative source of energy to switching to lower emission transportation, from growing our own food to putting the recycling, reusing plan into place; everyone is just passionate about it. Many of us are trying to make our day-to-day activities environmental friendly. For example, some of us have stopped using toxic cleaning chemicals and replaced them with natural cleaning ones which are cheap. By doing so there is a reduction in the amount of toxins that we are exposing ourselves and the environment too. Also it has a positive impact on the quality of air that surrounds us

There are other effective and best ways to be environmentally conscious. We could start to grow our own food and cut down the intake of meat. It does not mean that we have to be a strict veggie, but if there is a choice on the type of food to eat, we should try the veggie one. Also we should try to cut down the usage of processed food and avoid using BPA containers.

We can avoid using the air conditioner and lights and open the windows and the blinds whenever we want some air and light in the room. It will be much healthy and good for our body. Getting energy-efficient appliances and electronics would be a good way to save a lot of light and heat energy. To prevent air pollution, we could take the public transport or go for a walk or ride a bicycle.

Besides that we should start using recycle items like bottles, paper cups, and papers. They will be good for the environment and just think how many trees will be saved. Another conservative way to save paper is to always go for electronic billing and try to pay your bills electronically. Try to donate those items which you don’t need and use reusable grocery bags whenever you go for shopping. If your shopkeeper gives you a plastic bag or puts the grocery items in one, straightaway refuse it and tell him to put the items in the reusable grocery bag.

You could save a lot of water while washing dishes and brushing your teeth. Whenever you brush your teeth, make sure to turn off the tap. In the same way don’t let the water running while washing the dishes and try to run the washing machine and dishwasher when it is in full load.

Frankly, the environmental problem is of growing concern nowadays. Not only individuals but the government must make sure that there is a constant check on these problems from time to time. Everyone is aware what the environmental problems will lead to. Our future generation will be living in a world where there will be no trees, natural resources and even to some extent water to drink. Just think how their pathetic their life will be.
