Entering the Top Levels For WoW Raiding - By: Michael A. McGrath

Raiding in world of warcraft is only possible when you are part of a group. To get into a good group you need to join a guild. Unfortunately getting into a good guild isn't as easy as it may seem at first. You really need to find a guild that suits your character's current development level.

Reaching the very highest heights in WoW is usually only possible when you are in a guild. Before you can ever gain notoriety or fame in the Warcraft world and be an important member of a top ranked guild you must be prepared to spend some time learning your craft in a smaller guild.

Even in a lower ranked guild you can learn a lot. By raiding in groups within your guild and gaining experience form PvP with guild members you can level up much more quickly than you would otherwise.

You may be surprised at how many other guilds start to take notice of you once you begin to gain experience and after you have made yourself an important member of your group or current guild.

It is a waste of time applying to one of the top 3 guilds. In order to work your way into a top ranked guild you must first show that you are a good guild member in a lower ranked guild. The truth is the very top guilds have guild members and PvP groups that earn thousands of dollars (in real money) from competitions every year. They do not just accept anyone into their guild.

When you join a good guild they will track your stats and monitor your progress and use that information to help you develop. This is why the top guilds will only accept players that have already proven their worth and they then turn them into legendary WoW players.

It is always a good idea to search for a guild that would benefit from the skills you have but which can help you power up and level up faster than you could on your own.

Be sure to seek a good PvP or raiding group as soon as you are accepted into a guild. A Pick-up Group (PuG) is a great way to develop the skills you need in PvP and raiding. It will not take long before you have developed your character to such a degree that you can leave your guild and seek out a better one.

Always look for opportunities that will take you out of your comfort zone. In the beginning it is always best to apply to lower ranked guilds but do not stifle your progress. Be sure to apply for a well established guild when you think you are ready. Try to get a place in a solid and well established raiding party or PvP group. You can learn a lot from the members of that group and all parties involved can benefit greatly from the co-operation.
