Enjoy Nightlife in Barcelona - By: Asifkhan

The nightlife scene doesn't get going until around 22:00, but the shops stay open until late at night and this is a good way to start the evening. The clubs in Barcelona are often compared to those of Ibiza, attracting large crowds of the young or simply young at heart from all walks of life.

Barcelona Nightlife: What to expect
The streets of Barcelona are studded with world-class clubs and bars. There is a pub at every turn and curve of the road, where you can enjoy different music and ambience. Barcelona nightlife is also famous for its live music and you can dance the night away to the songs played by some highly promising bands.

Dinner is typically served around 9pm. Pubs come alive around 11pm. You have just enough time for a couple of drinks to get into the mood. By 2am, most people hit the dance floor. There are places that start earlier, but if you're looking for a scintillating atmosphere, you would have to wait past midnight.

The Port Olímpic area has 2 sections, divided by the famous Arts Hotel. To the left of the hotel (facing the sea) is a strip of bars and discos offering free shots hip hop, commercial dance and reggaeton to all the passers by. Its does resemble the more tacky cheap side of night clubbing and the odd bit of trouble is always a possibility.

Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and a tourist has no shortage of things to see and do in barcelona when they get there. Barcelona's rich historical and cultural heritage will have most tourists heading straight to its medieval centre or towards Gaudi's ingeniously designed buildings. The Sagrada Familia church has been in construction since 1882 and work on its completion is still going strong. Gaudi's distinctive architectural style is truly unique and the Sagrada Familia is a feast for the eyes and it irrefutably hits the number one spot on the top 10 things to do in Barcelona list.

Barcelona's nightlife is trendy, varied and sometimes spectacular. Even if you're not much of a clubber it's worth going to at least one night club just to get a feel for this city, and remember there are more and more "lounge" clubs turning up if you're not much of a dancer!
