Following some few good rules during the use of our washing machine, we can save energy and money and we can respect our environment.

When buying a washing machine, it's always better to prefer new models, that assure small water and powder consumption and that show all the characteristics related to energy consumption and washing ability.

Like for other household appliances, also for a washing machine it's better to make sure that there is the IMQ quality logo, or any other logo recognized on a European level, since they can assure its conformity with security laws.

The energy label, that must always be on on sale washing machines allows us to choose the high energy efficiency products, since it gives us all details regarding energy consumptions, washing potency and all the other technical characteristics of the appliance. Some devices also have the Eco-label, a European logo that indicates that a product is more eco-friendly than others and has lower energy consumption.

A washing machine is responsible of a big quota of energy consumptions of a house. This consumption is mainly due to the heating of water during the washing process, while only a small part of energy is used to activate the motor.

Furthermore it's useful to know that a perfect laundry doesn't depend on the quantity of powder we use, since it depends on the hardness of the water used to wash.

Here below are some good tips to better use our washing machine:

* choose the correct program

* always prefer no too high washing programs (40-60°C)

* use the washing machine only if fully loaded

* always check the quantity of powder on the basis of the water hardness, without exaggerating

* never overcome the quantities of powder suggested by suppliers.

Finally, as for the maintenance, we suggest you to frequently clean the filter and to always use, together with normal powder, products that helps brittling; to alway keep the powder drawer clean and, if you don't' use the washing machine for a long period, to disconnect electrical and hydraulic connections.
